Three Premium ships are leaving the Armory – Mid-Autumn Festival begins

Velos, Constellation and Tone will temporarily leave the Armory with Update 15.9. Meanwhile, the Mid-Autumn Festival offers two combat missions, a free Commander and other rewards until October 8.

Velos, Constellation and Tone leave the Armory with Update 15.9

There is a new category in the World of Warships Armory that is worth a look: under “Zukünftige Abfahrten” (upcoming departures), Wargaming is now listing ships that will soon disappear from the regular offer.

Three familiar Premium ships are first in line. Velos, Constellation and Tone are due to be temporarily removed from the Armory with Update 15.9.

The Mid-Autumn Festival has also begun. Alongside a fairly extensive sequence of bundles, it offers two rather more interesting combat missions through which players can earn a themed Commander and a flag without making a purchase.

Velos, Constellation and Tone are leaving the Armory

Wargaming has added a new “Zukünftige Abfahrten” section to the Armory's ship category.

It currently lists three Premium ships that will temporarily be removed from the offer with Update 15.9:

Ship Current price
Velos 18,300 Doubloons
Constellation 11,300 Doubloons
Tone 11,300 Doubloons

The important word here is “temporarily.”

Wargaming has not announced that the three ships are being removed permanently. Instead, they will disappear from the Armory “for a while.” This is a rotation, not a statement that Velos, Constellation or Tone will no longer be obtainable at all afterwards.

No reason for a panic purchase

Anyone who already had one of the three ships on their shopping list now has a specific deadline for making a decision.

Their regular availability in the Armory will end for the time being with Update 15.9.

Spending Doubloons on impulse just because of the announced removal makes little sense, though. Since Wargaming explicitly describes it as temporary, it should not create artificial pressure to buy.

If you wanted Velos, Constellation or Tone anyway, keep the rotation in mind. If you were not interested before, this announcement does not suddenly mean you are missing out on the ship of your dreams.

Mid-Autumn Festival runs until October 8

The full details of this year's Mid-Autumn Festival are now known too.

The event runs until October 8, 2026, at 04:00 CEST, and brings a sequence of bundles to the Armory with various resources and containers.

These include:

  • Supercontainers
  • Chang'e
  • Lunar New Year containers
  • Red Daruma Premium containers
  • Black Daruma Premium containers
  • Defenders of Order Premium containers
  • Adherents of Chaos Premium containers
  • Firepower IX Premium containers

As always with bundle chains like this, check how many preceding bundles you actually need to buy to reach the reward you want.

Two combat missions offer a Commander and a flag

Two special combat missions are more interesting for players who would rather not bombard the Armory with Doubloons first.

Each mission requires 10 battles.

The rewards are a themed Commander of your choice, Kaguya or Hou Yi, and the “Dragon Under the Moon” flag.

At least that gives the Mid-Autumn Festival a manageable free component that can be completed without going to great lengths.

If you want to pick up the Commander and flag, make sure to finish the required battles in good time before October 8.

Several permanent camouflages are discounted

Several permanent camouflages are also available at a lower price during the event.

The discounts apply to camouflages for Cleveland, Warspite, Dunkerque, Kaga and Prinz Eugen.

This is more of a cosmetic extra than a compelling reason to spend resources. Still, if you regularly play one of those ships and had your eye on one of the offered camouflages anyway, it is worth checking the current deals.

Taejong is more of a side note to the Mid-Autumn Festival

Taejong is also part of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Taejong

The cruiser is no longer particularly new news, though, so there is no need to make it the main story again. We already covered Taejong and its availability for 31,000 Steel on September 24, alongside King of the Sea XIX.

For the current event, the free combat missions and limited-time rewards are therefore the more interesting points.

Conclusion

Two deadlines are particularly worth watching over the coming days.

With Update 15.9, Velos, Constellation and Tone will leave the Armory for the time being. Anyone who already intended to buy one of these three Premium ships should factor that into their plans. The rotation is no reason for a spontaneous panic purchase, however, since Wargaming explicitly says the removal is temporary.

For the Mid-Autumn Festival, the two combat missions deserve the most attention. Ten battles each is a manageable requirement if you want the themed Commander and flag.

As for the large bundle chain, the usual rule applies: look carefully first, then decide whether the rewards are really worth everything it takes to reach them.
