Terms of Use for Friendly-Helpers
Last updated: 16 October 2026.
1. Operator and services
Friendly-Helpers is an independent community project run by Lars Heuschkel, Merschweg 6a, 33449 Langenberg. You can contact us at immerda@friendly-helpers.de. Friendly-Helpers is the project name; its operator is Lars Heuschkel as a natural person.
These terms describe the use of our public website, including the wiki, our World of Warships analyses, our Discord bot and the Control Panel. The respective providers' terms also apply when you use Discord and Wargaming.
2. Free use and funding
We provide our publicly available features free of charge. These include the wiki, World of Warships data, player and clan analyses, and all Discord bot commands. There are no paid memberships, paywalls, paid additional features or time-limited trials.
The project is funded entirely by its operator. There is no advertising, sponsorship, affiliate income or donation funding. The operator pays for the servers, domains and infrastructure.
3. Features and requirements
Our services include information and help for World of Warships, player and clan statistics, rankings and comparisons, and Discord features for community servers. Depending on activation, configuration and the required permissions, these include automatic clan notifications, welcome messages, server and clan statistics, quizzes and a demo mode. Authorised administrators can manage supported server features through the Control Panel.
The Operations Center can be used to organise internal gaming events on servers where it has been enabled. Personal OC messages are optional and can be switched off independently of signing up for an event.
Not every technically available feature is enabled on every server. Features that we have prepared or announced only become part of the available service when we actually provide them. Planning a feature does not constitute a promise to introduce it.
4. Availability and data quality
Friendly-Helpers is privately operated without a paid service agreement. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or specific response times. Maintenance, technical problems and outages of external services may affect individual features or the entire service. Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
We use data from Wargaming and Discord in particular. Interfaces, delayed updates, private profiles and errors in data sources may result in missing or temporarily outdated information. Our ratings and rankings are independent analyses by Friendly-Helpers, not official Wargaming ratings. You can report errors to our contact email address.
5. Setup on Discord servers
You may only add or configure the bot on a server if you have the required permissions. Administrators are responsible for their settings, their choice of channels and roles, and the use of features within their control. This includes avoiding unintentionally public outputs and adequately informing members about the features in use.
Our responsibility for our own processing of personal data remains unaffected. Installing the bot does not constitute blanket consent from server members to any processing of their data or to direct messages.
6. Permitted use and protective measures
Use Friendly-Helpers lawfully and respectfully. Prohibited conduct includes spam, harassment, manipulating analyses or quiz processes, unauthorised collection of personal data, bypassing permissions or technical safeguards, and attacks on the services.
Where there are reasonable indications of misuse, we may take appropriate and proportionate measures, such as limiting requests, temporarily restricting individual features, or blocking access for affected users or servers. We consider the severity, duration and effects of the conduct. Where this is compatible with protecting the service and other people, we inform those affected about the measure. You can request a review through our contact email address. Statutory rights remain unaffected.
7. Messages from the bot
Some commands provide information by direct message at your request. The bot may respond to a request sent directly to it with a help message. In the Operations Center, you receive personal messages only in accordance with the voluntary settings provided there.
Personal onboarding help for administrators is only planned and is not currently offered. These terms do not authorise proactive onboarding messages. Any future contact feature requires a separate assessment and appropriate permission to contact the recipient; describing a contact option does not replace any required consent.
8. Development and discontinuation
We may develop, change or discontinue features within the limits of the law. For significant changes or a planned discontinuation, we intend to provide reasonable advance notice where this is possible and reasonable. Urgent security measures may be necessary immediately. Statutory rights that have already arisen remain in place.
A change to these terms is not considered accepted merely because you remain silent. Where your consent is required, we must obtain it separately.
9. Ending use and personal data
You can stop using the website and the Control Panel. Authorised server administrators can remove the bot from their server. Removing the bot, ending your use of the Control Panel and completely erasing personal data are different processes. They do not trigger the automatic deletion of all existing data.
You can contact us at the email address above to request access to or erasure of your personal data. Our Privacy Policy explains which data is processed, which deletion procedures are available and which limited retention may be necessary. An existing right to erasure does not depend on your acceptance of these terms.
10. Liability
Our liability is governed by the applicable statutory provisions. In particular, these terms do not exclude or limit liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or loss of life, bodily injury or damage to health. Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
11. Third-party rights
Friendly-Helpers is an independent community project and is not an official service of Wargaming or Discord. World of Warships, Wargaming.net, Discord and their associated trademarks, logos and protected content belong to their respective rights holders. Rights to original texts, graphics and layouts belong to their respective authors or other rights holders. Third-party rights remain unaffected.
