Friendly Helper can now do far more than display individual ship statistics. Player profiles, comparisons, clan analyses, rankings, maps and commanders are available through dedicated slash commands. On a new Discord server, however, some of these can easily go unnoticed until someone looks for the right command.
The new demo mode makes these features visible if you want it to. At longer intervals, the bot posts a changing selection of examples in a designated channel, using the same output as a normal invocation.
Real commands instead of prepared promotional messages
A demo is not rebuilt as a separate, simplified message. Friendly Helper chooses the required options and then executes the regular command. Members therefore see exactly the response they would later receive themselves.
The initial selection includes 15 commands:
/zufallsschiff,/infoand/vergleich/profil,/rankedand/expert player/schiffstatsand/schiffduell/clanmitglieder,/clanduell,/clanrangand/clanrekorde/spieler-rankings,/karteand/kommandant
Each enabled command gets one turn before the order is shuffled again. That prevents the channel from showing several similar profiles in a row and gradually demonstrates the full selected range.
The server chooses the data source
Players and clans can come exclusively from the clans registered on the Discord server. Alternatively, a random public selection from the Friendly Helpers website can be used, with separate choices for players and clans.
For random public players, the bot also checks freshness: their last battle must be no more than 30 days ago, and the local record must have been synchronised within the past 14 days. Outdated profiles are not used as substitutes.
For ship statistics, the bot selects a player–ship combination that actually exists. In a ship duel, both players must have played the same ship, and a clan rank uses a real member of the selected clan. Missing or private data prompts a new selection rather than a misleading result.
Fully under admin control
Demo mode starts disabled on every server. Administrators and users with Discord's Manage Server permission choose:
- The destination channel
- An interval of two, four, six, twelve or 24 hours
- The sources for players and clans
- Which of the 15 commands participate
Before activation, a successful test must have run in that exact channel. Changing the channel revokes that approval. Messages containing only errors or notices are not posted publicly, and all demo messages suppress mentions so that no member is accidentally pinged.

Setup uses /demomodus. Status, tests and all settings respond privately to the administrators; only the actual demo appears in the selected channel.
The aim is not to make the bot noisier, but easier to explore: each server deliberately decides whether, where and how often Friendly Helper demonstrates its capabilities.
