Four stories for the weekend
The second Public Test of Update 15.10 brings changes to Horror From the Abyss. Jack-o’-Lantern Premium containers are back, more Trafalgar combat mission details are confirmed, and King of the Sea XIX continues its EU qualifiers.
Horror From the Abyss: Second Public Test changes
Wargaming announced the second test round on October 22. An updated changelog describes adjustments to enemy mechanics, missions and the customizable Expeditioner. These are work-in-progress test changes, not confirmed live-server updates.
In Madness Crusade, the required number of transport ships has been reduced from 20 to 15. Enemy spawns should also better reflect how many allied player ships remain in battle. Exact scaling factors have not been published.
| Operation | Change |
|---|---|
| Vanished Expedition | Enemy spawning revised |
| Origin of Terror | Enemy spawns and transport routes adjusted; some sections shortened |
| Madness Crusade | Transport requirement reduced from 20 to 15 |
| Harbingers of Doom | Airship routes adjusted, influence zones enlarged, acceleration reduced when enemies are present |
Expeditioner, ammunition and tech-tree fixes
The Expeditioner received changes to modules, development branches, module levels and commander talents. The available changelog does not include complete new values, so it is too early to say which builds benefit.
An activatable radio tower now reveals enemies over a larger radius. A bug that prevented Wraith, Specter and Phantom from using their high-velocity projectiles has been fixed. Hits with High-Velocity Shells and High-Velocity Burst Shells now count towards the relevant combat mission.
The test client also fixes a European tech-tree issue where the new cruiser line in Early Access could block research into European battleships.
Previously announced maximum test rewards of 8,500 Community Tokens, 25,100 Coal and 450 Doubloons apply to both rounds combined. The exact EU closing time of the second round could not be independently verified.
Our take: Fewer transports and dynamic enemy numbers could significantly affect difficulty. The second test will show whether the Expeditioner changes favour different builds.
Jack-o’-Lantern Premium containers return
On October 22, Wargaming announced the return of Jack-o’-Lantern Premium containers to the Armory and Premium Shop. Possible rewards include themed commanders, permanent camouflages and other items. These are chance-based rewards, not guaranteed contents.
The free track of the ongoing Halloween Event Pass already contains three standard Jack-o’-Lantern containers and one Premium container. Those rewards were announced earlier and are not newly added freebies from this sales announcement.
The accessible EU announcement lists November 5, 2026 as the end of the offer. The exact closing time, current Doubloon prices and complete drop probabilities could not be reliably confirmed. Since Update 15.9 announced changes to container contents, older drop tables should not be assumed accurate.
Trafalgar: Combat missions and rewards
To mark the 221st anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar, two mission chains with three missions each are available: Nelson’s Legacy for British, French or Spanish ships, and Break the Line for ships of all other nations.
In addition to expendable economic bonuses, the official overview lists:
| Reward | Displayed quantity |
|---|---|
| “Common Bonuses” container | 1 |
| “More Coal” container | 1 |
| “Cartographic” permanent camouflage | 1 |
| “Heart of Oak” container | 2 |
| “French Squadron” container | 1 |
Important: The final two container types are separated by a slash in the official presentation. It was not clear whether they are alternatives or tied to different mission chains. Do not add these quantities up as a guaranteed combined reward.
Guns of Trafalgar: Union Jack camouflage
The separate Guns of Trafalgar mission awards the Union Jack permanent camouflage. It requires Warspite (Tier VI), Nelson (Tier VII) or Collingwood (Tier VII). These Premium battleships are not required for the two general mission chains.
Activate the missions using the button in the official Trafalgar article. Individual objectives are listed in the game client.
EU deadline: Monday, November 9, 2026, 02:00 CET (01:00 UTC).
King of the Sea XIX: EU tournament weekend
After matches on October 10, 11, 17 and 18, the EU qualifiers continue on October 24 and 25.
| Day | Announced start |
|---|---|
| Saturday, October 24 | 15:00 CEST (13:00 UTC) |
| Sunday, October 25 | approximately 13:00 CET (12:00 UTC) |
Please recheck Sunday's start time: The regional schedule lists 14:00 UTC+2, while Europe switches to standard time overnight. The event listings are not fully consistent. Confirm the actual start on the EU tournament page before watching.
Twitch Drops
The regional Drop window ends on October 26 at 00:59 CET (October 25, 23:59 UTC). Watching for 180 minutes unlocks a special mission chain. This does not immediately award every prize. Announced mission rewards include permanent camouflages, a viewer flag and a choice between a King of the Sea container and 500 King Tokens.
Complete results from the previous EU tournament weekend could not be reliably extracted from the accessible sources. We are therefore not naming unverified group winners or qualifiers.
Bonus code: three small containers
The bonus code LUCKY3CAP grants three small containers.
What matters this weekend?
For PvE players, the Horror From the Abyss changes are the most interesting development. Players looking for rewards should activate the Trafalgar missions first. Halloween containers may appeal to collectors, provided they check the current purchase terms. Competitive fans can follow KOTS XIX and complete their viewing time for Drops.
