Hutuo arrives on November 13, and we now have the first concrete tips for its three announced bosses. The developer explains when to attack Xiao Han, how to exploit Bingshen's attack sequences and what matters when facing Yelu Abuli's fire spells.
Before then, the event menu is already worth checking: Anniversary Reunion has started. There are also announcements for Flowing Clarity and the Radiance Boat, plus three new gift codes reported only by the community so far.
Hutuo bosses: What the developers recommend
Our Hutuo preview covered names, locations and basic concepts. In the November 6 Xbox Wire article, Head of Publishing Eric Zheng now describes specific combat mechanics. These are official pointers for the upcoming expansion, rather than boss guides tested after release.
Xiao Han: Break his stance before committing to damage

Illustrative image from another boss fight: It shows Ye Wanshan, not Xiao Han.
Xiao Han's Blood-forged Super Armor stands in the way of an uninterrupted assault. The developer recommends baiting his sweeping spear attacks, parrying deliberately and using the subsequent counterattacks to break his stance.
A full damage rotation should follow once that opening has been created. In preparation, this puts emphasis on parry timing and the transition into a counterattack rather than using every ability immediately. Specific timing windows or a mandatory weapon have not been named.
Bingshen: Dodge direction matters

Illustrative image from another fight, not a screenshot of Bingshen.
The world boss combines fast gap-closing attacks with wide-reaching strikes. For certain follow-ups, the developer explicitly recommends dodging towards the opponent. This allows players to use his subsequent recovery period for counterattacks.
That is not a blanket instruction to roll forward against every attack. The particular sequence and its timing matter. Constantly creating distance could mean missing the short window in which Bingshen is vulnerable.
Yelu Abuli: Interrupt fire spells and preserve room to move

Illustrative image featuring Ye Wanshan; it does not show Yelu Abuli or his announced fire mechanics.
The Khitan shaman uses ceremonial fire attacks and hazard zones. The developer's advice identifies three tasks: Interrupt channelled spells, keep moving and draw area attacks away from the centre of the arena.
That suggests planning for interrupts and watching our positioning. Which abilities work best and how individual phases unfold will become clearer after launch.
Our take
The descriptions call for different responses in each fight: Xiao Han rewards parries and stance breaks, Bingshen demands well-timed dodges, and Yelu Abuli calls for interrupts and movement. We can practise those fundamentals now. They do not yet establish a new build meta or an equipment shopping list.
Anniversary Reunion: Login rewards are already running
Anniversary Reunion runs from November 6 at 22:00 to November 13 at 21:59 CET. Community database Where Guilds Meet has recorded tasks for consecutive login days from the in-game event data.
| Login progress | Reward documented so far |
|---|---|
| 1 day | 50 Echo Jade |
| 2 days | 5 Oscillating Jade |
| 3 days | 5 Inner Way Note Chests |
| 4 days | 5,000 Coins |
| Days 5–7 | Additional tasks recorded; rewards not yet fully documented |
The table is based on community-documented game data, not a separate official press release. We therefore do not fill in the missing rewards by guessing.
Today's practical step is simple: Check the event menu, review your login progress and follow the conditions shown there. The short duration leaves little room to spare when consecutive days are required.
Flowing Clarity: A new outfit and hairstyle
Flowing Clarity, officially announced on November 6, starts on November 13 at 16:00 CET and ends on December 6 at 21:59 CET. The December 7 date in UTC+8 therefore falls on the previous evening in Central Europe.
The specific rewards revealed so far are the Luminous Tides outfit and Lucent Ripples hairstyle. Further cosmetics and event rewards are planned, but the full tasks and unlock conditions have not been published.
Anyone interested in either appearance should check the event requirements at launch. It has not yet been confirmed that all rewards can be obtained for free. The two Battle Pass outfits featured yesterday have separate windows, listed in our Frostbound Edge and Willow Breeze overview.
Radiance Boat: Co-op building with an important access requirement
The Radiance Boat expands the existing Mirage Boat system. Owners will be able to switch between the two vessels. Announced additions include customisable areas, building together with friends, more sailing routes, dynamic weather effects and new docking locations. Two minigames are also named: Tai Chi Tidecatch and Ultra Leap of Faith.
The official post gives November 13 at 23:00 UTC as the date. In Central Europe, that is November 14 at 00:00 CET.
Radiance Boat is an upgrade to Mirage Boat, not a free vessel for everyone. The original Mirage Boat unlock requires 170 Mirage Torn Pages and belongs to the expensive premium gacha offering. It is still unclear which new features guests will be able to access.
Existing owners gain additional shared building and leisure activities. Players without Mirage Boat should not read the announcement as a promise of free access.
Three community codes to try
Since November 6, community directories have listed three further codes. Global validity and rewards have not been officially confirmed, and we have not redeemed them ourselves. They may be invalid for particular regions or accounts.
| Code | Reward reported by community trackers |
|---|---|
WWMHUTUO |
Includes 50 Echo Jade and 20,000 Coins |
ANN6WD4YNH3 |
Smaller amounts of Echo Jade and Coins, plus an Inner Way Note |
ANNF8HPH36R |
Smaller amounts of Echo Jade and Coins, plus an Inner Way Note |
Enter them under Settings → Other → Exchange Code. Some community sites list a possible expiry during the night leading into November 9 for numerous current codes. That deadline has not been officially confirmed for each of these codes. Trying them on your own account is more reliable than treating the listed rewards as a promise.
Two follow-ups on map figures and anniversary rewards
The Hidden Gaming Lair has revised its Transdust display again: Ordinary treasure chests no longer show unconfirmed percentages. Mechanical Lockboxes are explicitly described as possible rather than guaranteed locations. Another 37 ground-loot locations have also been added.
The relic rates discussed yesterday therefore remain unconfirmed figures from a community analysis. The locations can help with route planning, but we should not treat the earlier percentages as a verified drop table.
There is also a discrepancy between two official statements on anniversary rewards: The original November 2 announcement lists 42 Lingering Melody and 27 Resonating Melody, while the new Xbox article swaps the two names. Until this is clarified, we do not treat the new allocation as a confirmed change and follow the original announcement.
Conclusion
For Hutuo, it is worth preparing for parries, stance breaks, deliberate dodges and interrupts. Anyone playing today should also check Anniversary Reunion in the event menu. Flowing Clarity and Radiance Boat follow with their own dates and conditions; the three community codes remain an unconfirmed extra.
These announcements provide new combat advice and event information, but no confirmed gameplay patch or balance adjustment. We will face the bosses themselves from November 13.
