Friendly Helpers player rankings load much faster. Both the public rankings page and the associated bot API now read their main top lists from precomputed ranking data. Frequently needed sort orders are therefore ready without having to be calculated again in full for every request.
Top lists are prepared in advance
The main player rankings are compiled regularly in the background. This follows the approach already used for Ranked Ships: values shared by many requests are prepared in advance and then read by the website and bot API.
The visible rankings therefore remain part of the same Friendly Helpers analysis. What has mainly changed is when the expensive compilation happens. It is no longer performed in the direct page request, but during preparatory processing.
Historical trends stay separate
Player profile snapshots remain independent of these top lists. They continue to serve exclusively as historical ranking records. Current rankings and long-term development are therefore not mixed together, but retain their separate purposes.
A fallback for special cases
A highlighted player can still be included even if they fall outside the precomputed ranking range. In that case, the website automatically uses the previous live calculation. The faster standard route is therefore combined with a fallback for individual cases.
Nothing changes in how visitors use the feature: the familiar rankings pages and services remain available. The main difference is loading time, as the prepared top lists are available faster. The bot API benefits from the same foundation, keeping the website and Discord outputs aligned.
